The Riviera Line
Steam trains are a regular feature of this spectacular line, which one of the most scenic stretches of main line railway in Europe. Running from Exeter to Newton Abbot via Dawlish and Teignmouth, it sweeps along the sea wall offering views of the Exe estuary, the English Channel coastline and magnificent red cliffs.
Winter storm at Dawlish
A spring storm battering the platform of Dawlish Railway Station. Needless to say, the trains were not allowed to run through the station until the storm had blown itself out.
