My Queen was built in 1929, and is a veteran of Dunkirk. She has had a varied career, including wartime with the Navy, to cruising the Thames, and service in Dartmouth Harbour, where President Mitterand of France boarded her for a tour of Dartmouth Harbour in 1984, the 40th anniversary of D-Day. She is now with M & J Rackley, in Starcross....more

The Italianate pumping engine house in Starcross is the best surviving building from Brunel's unsuccessful Atmospheric Railway.
Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Atmospheric South Devon Railway ran between Exeter and Newton Abbot, most of it on the coast....more
Ferry to Exmouth

I can recommend the ferry ride from Starcross to Exmouth - the trip is short, only about 20 minutes, but provides wonderfull views of the River Exe, Starcross and Exmouth Harbour.
Exmouth is on the South Devon coast. There are two miles of golden sands, leading to the start of the Unesco designated World Heritage Coast....more
